
On the occasion of the anniversary of the assassination of the Prime Minister of Serbia, the Democratic Party of Zoran Đinđić started a walk from Krunska Street to the New Cemetery shortly after 10:30 AM. At 11 AM, a gathering of citizens organized by the Liberal Democratic Party also began. Members of the Serbian Government laid a wreath at the memorial plaque in the courtyard of the Serbian Government this morning, reports the Patria News Agency.
A column of about 150 Democratic Party members started in silence from Krunska Street, along Kneginje Zorke Street, towards the New Cemetery, to pay tribute to Prime Minister and President Zoran Đinđić, who was assassinated 12 years ago today.
The column is led by Bojan Pajtić, Dragan Šutanovac, Gordana Čomić, Nada Kolundžija, Borislav Stefanović, and Goran Ješić.
Organized by the DS, the final public speaking competition "Speech in Zoran's Honor" will be held today, on the day of Đinđić's assassination, at the Yugoslav Drama Theatre.
