Commemoration of the 25th anniversary of Operation 'Flash'

(Patria) - The 25th anniversary of the Military-Police Operation "Flash" will be commemorated in Okučani. With a joint wreath and lighting of candles at the "Crystal Cube of Serenity" memorial, the President of the Republic Zoran Milanović, the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament Gordan Jandroković, and the Prime Minister Andrej Plenković will pay tribute to those killed in Operation "Flash".

It liberated western Slavonia after four years of occupation and established control over the Zagreb-Lipovac highway and the railway line towards eastern Slavonia.

This year's commemoration of Operation 'Flash' will be held in accordance with the current situation related to the coronavirus epidemic and with respect for the recommended measures of the National Civil Protection Headquarters.
