Obama congratulates all Muslims in the world on Eid al-Adha

Michelle and I extend our warmest wishes to Muslims in the US and around the world celebrating Eid al-Adha and congratulate those performing the Hajj this year, according to the Eid greeting from US President Barack Obama, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

- As our Muslim neighbours and friends gather for the celebration of Eid, Muslim Americans among millions of pilgrims are performing the Hajj. The Hajj brings together Muslims from all over the world and serves as a reminder that regardless of one's tribe, race, religion, gender, age, we are all equal – the greeting states.

Obama also said that it is a tradition for Muslims on Eid to give to the poor, provide assistance to those suffering from hunger, and illness, together with other religious communities.

- Their service is a strong example of the common roots of the world's Abrahamic faiths and how our communities can unite in common peace, dignity, and with a sense of justice. May the prayers for peace of the pilgrims on Hajj and all others around the world be heard. Eid Mubarak – it was announced from the White House.
