Newly Appointed Prosecutors in the Terrorism Department to Start Work in Early 2016

Given the increased number of cases in the fight against terrorism, the arrival of newly appointed prosecutors in the Terrorism Department, who will start working from 01/01/2016, will greatly assist and make faster and more efficient all activities carried out in the detection, prevention, and punishment of terrorist activities and criminal offenses related to terrorism, it was announced from the BiH Prosecutor's Office, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

Currently, only one prosecutor works in this department, and the activities carried out are the result of the exceptional efforts of this prosecutor and his associates.

Newly appointed prosecutors will assist in the work and coordination with police agencies in BiH in a large number of activities conducted in multiple investigations against a larger number of individuals, for whom there is information that they are connected to terrorist activities and persons linked to terrorism, radicalism, and organizing the departure of BiH citizens to foreign battlefields in Syria and Iraq.

The new 8 prosecutors will help the judicial and security apparatus in BiH establish coordinated mechanisms for constant activity and action, in detecting and preventing activities that can be linked to terrorism, and in realizing international operations in cooperation with partner agencies from other countries.

These activities are carried out to ensure a peaceful and safe environment for the lives of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Terrorism, financing of terrorist activities, public incitement to terrorist activities, recruitment for terrorist activities, training for carrying out terrorist activities, organizing terrorist groups, illegal formation of military forces, illegal formation and joining of foreign paramilitary and paramilitary formations are criminal offenses for which the BiH Prosecutor's Office is competent, and which are realized in the field, as well as in cyberspace, which requires effective action by judicial, police, security, and intelligence institutions, in order to protect the security of BiH citizens.
