New Year's Street Festival Starts at Noon, Sarajevo Drum Orchestra to Perform

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The New Year's Street Festival Sarajevo will be held on 12/31, 01/01, and 01/02/2022, organized by the Sarajevo Canton and Centar Municipality.

As part of this New Year's event, domestic bands and musicians, performers, and various other interesting content will be presented in front of the Markale City Market, which will complete the festive atmosphere in the city.

Santa Clauses will walk through Ferhadija Street, in front of the City Market, distributing sweets, along with magicians and mascots who will entertain passers-by and visitors.

Today, at the location in front of the City Market, starting at 12:00 PM, the "Sarajevo Drum Orchestra" will perform, as well as the "Superar" children's choir. A Mini disco for the youngest is also planned, while the band "Karne" will perform at 5:00 PM.

On Saturday, January 1, 2022, Almas Smajlović, Dino Đihic, and Sara and Đuro will perform.

On Sunday, the last day of the street festival, at 12:00 PM, the program will be opened by majorettes from Busovača.

On the same day, in front of the City Market stage, there will be artisan performances, a Visual POI Spectacle - LED prop juggling, and performances by the bands "Anchy & The Moondogs", "Muki i Emi", and "Rok Škola Sarajevo".

The organizers emphasize that COVID marshals will be responsible for enforcing hygienic-epidemiological measures in the fenced-off area in front of the stage.
