New police chief in Brčko participated in the Srebrenica genocide?!

The new police chief in Brčko Goran Pisić participated in the Srebrenica genocide in 1995?!, writes the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

The Army and police of Republika Srpska in 1995 raped and killed more than 10,000 Bosniaks in eastern Bosnia, in Srebrenica. A newspaper article published by Oslobođenje in 2006 mentions the name Goran Pisić as one of the police officers known to have fought on the side of the RS police in the Srebrenica area during the greatest genocide in Europe after World War II.

Edin Ražanica, a journalist from Brčko and editor of the portal Otisak, told Patria that Pisić was appointed head of the Brčko police by Milorad Dodik's SNSD party, but that the votes of several Bosniaks in the Brčko District Assembly also helped them, which is shocking.

Analysts note that even if it is determined that the new head of the Brčko police did indeed participate in the Srebrenica genocide, he will not be removed from his position because of it. According to official data from domestic and international organizations, more than 500 criminals responsible for the deaths of Bosniaks in Srebrenica are currently working in BiH police structures, and some are in leadership positions, writes Patria.
