New Head of EU Delegation to BiH Johann Sattler presented credentials

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Newly appointed Head of the European Union Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina and EU Special Representative in BiH Johann Sattler today presented his credentials to the Head of the Department for Diplomatic Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mirsad Bešić.

Sattler will replace Lars-Gunnar Wigemark in this position.

Sattler studied political science and Slavic studies at universities in Innsbruck, Prague, and Moscow, and earned his doctorate from the University of Vienna in 2008.

He has been in the Austrian diplomatic service since 1996.

He headed the Western Balkans Department at the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and before coming to BiH, Sattler served as the Austrian Ambassador to Albania.
