New contract for Bosnian company Euro-Asfalt in Montenegro

Today in Podgorica, a contract worth 40 million marks was signed between the Directorate for Traffic of Montenegro on one side and the Bosnian company Euro-Asfalt on the other, reports Patria News Agency.

The subject of the Contract is the construction of the second phase of the Rožaje bypass. The works include all construction works on the road 2.6 kilometers long. In addition to the works on the route, two tunnels, 1193 and 693 meters long, as well as two bridges, 18 and 155 meters long, will be built.

The contract was signed by the General Director of Euro-Asfalt, Hamed Ramić, on behalf of the Consortium of contractors, and General Director Savo Parača on behalf of the Directorate for Traffic of Montenegro.

Ramić thanked for the trust placed in the consortium he represents and expressed hope that the cooperation between Montenegrin institutions and Bosnian companies will continue. 

- We signed our first contract in Montenegro in December last year and were introduced to the job in May. Works on that section, which is the reconstruction and construction of the route on the Berane – Kolašin section, are in full swing. We recently signed a contract for the rehabilitation of slopes on the Vrbnica – Bar railway line. Today we are signing this, which is an indicator for me that we are welcome in Montenegro and that they respect us as partners.

I must emphasize that this is not just a job for workers and companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina. We intend to continue our practice of engaging local companies, local experts and engineers, and local labor, as we have done in all previous jobs abroad - said Ramić.

Director of the Directorate for Traffic of Montenegro, Savo Parača, expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with Euro-Asfalt so far.

- We already have several smaller jobs behind us that Euro-Asfalt has carried out with companies from Montenegro, and we are more than satisfied, both with the quality of the work and the dynamics with which they are progressing. The deadline for the completion of the work we signed today is 24 months from the date of commencement, and as soon as the preparatory works phase is over, we will start the implementation, said Parača.  

This is the third valuable contract that Euro-Asfalt has signed in Montenegro in just ten months, bringing the total value of the agreed works for this company in Montenegro to 130 million marks.
