New attack in Ilidža: Sarajevo residents in panic over stray dog pack!

In the Sarajevo neighborhood of Ilidža, a stray dog attack occurred this morning, the third reported attack in the last few days, and a female person was injured, reports the Patria news agency.

This is the third dog attack on people in Sarajevo since Monday, which has instilled great fear among the citizens of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The number of stray dogs is increasing day by day, and the animals are becoming more aggressive. 

We remind you that Zlatko Petrović, the relevant minister, stated in an interview with the Patria agency that he had said long ago to give him the authority and he would get the job done.

- I did that and said whether we will cut this off or not. And here we have cut it off. I gave an order to activate the dog pound service, which had been shut down. We will start with organizational activities tomorrow. I will promptly demand from Monday, perhaps even earlier, that the service be activated and that, in consultation with the veterinary service, aggressive and dangerous dogs be assessed and that this enters a final procedure, not the coddling that has been the case so far – says Paterović.

He confirmed that he has received the legal basis to remove dangerous and aggressive dogs from the streets of Sarajevo and that he will start doing so.
