New incident in Serbia: 19-year-old from Leskovac wounded by air rifle

(Patria) - A.Ć. (19) from Leskovac, who was wounded last night around 10 PM by a shot from an air rifle, underwent surgery last night at the University Clinical Center (UKC) Niš.

The health institution stated that A.Ć. was brought in around 11:45 PM with a gunshot wound to the right side of his chest, in serious general condition.

- Immediately upon admission, he was taken to the operating room, operated on, and is currently hospitalized at the Clinic for Anesthesia, where his post-operative course is being monitored - said the UKC Niš.

The Leskovac Police Department stated that the person who fired the shot has been arrested. According to unofficial information, the investigation determined that it was an accidental shooting.
