New Rulings on CHF Loans: Duraković Awaits the House of Peoples – Are Delegates on the Side of the People or Hypo Bank?

In the last two weeks, 14 new rulings have been issued declaring the loan agreements between Hypo Bank and borrowers legally null and void, claims the president of the UKK Švicarac association, Kemal Duraković, reports the Patria news agency.

This means that the borrower only returns the amount of KM they received at the time of concluding the contract, Duraković points out.

For example, one borrower received 50,000 KM and had paid 67,419 KM to the bank before the ruling. Since the contract is declared null and void by the ruling, Hypo Bank is obliged to refund the borrower 17,419.75 KM of the withdrawn loan amount.

- Isn't it honorable to fight and ensure that over a billion KM stays in this country? Isn't it honorable for this association to fight to bring a billion KM of non-repayable funds to BiH, which Hypo Bank intended to steal from the citizens of BiH? Isn't it honorable to inject that billion KM into BiH's economy, or is it more honorable for it to end up in Hypo Bank's vault? – Duraković asks.

From just these 14 rulings, over 470,000 KM remains in BiH, and by the end of the repayment period for these 14 loans, according to Hypo Bank's plan and design, another approximately 1,100,000 KM would have been paid.

This money will stay in BiH and will be spent in cities across BiH, in the economy, in shops, benefiting everyone from the ordinary consumer, trader, waiter, goods and services, to state institutions through tax collection on spent money – Duraković emphasizes.

UKK Švicarac BiH remains determined to overcome this issue.

- We do not promise and do not know what the state of BiH and its institutions will do, but we will know on December 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM when the session of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly begins, where the second item on the agenda is the conversion of CHF loans into KM at the exchange rate on the day the loan was taken. We will know whether the delegates of the House of Peoples are on the side of their citizens and voters or on the side of the Hypo banking mafia – Duraković adds.
