New investments in Safet Zajko Center, better and more beautiful after the coronavirus

A gloomy and working day in Sarajevo. There are not many visitors at the Safet Zajko Center for Education, Sports and Recreation. The coronavirus has also taken its toll, but the management of the company Lokom, which manages the center, is not lacking in positive energy.

-    We are trying to remain a space where our fellow citizens, especially the youngest ones, can relax and have fun in these difficult times. We adhere to all epidemiological measures and have not reduced the number of employees, although business has declined, especially in the hospitality sector. There are visitors when the weather is nice, and training processes have not stopped for a moment. The center is alive despite the coronavirus, said Lokom director Edin Čano.

It is busy in almost every part of the Safet Zajko Center. Work is underway on two projects estimated at approximately 400,000 KM. The projects are being implemented in cooperation with the Novi Grad Municipality, with the majority being financed from the company's own funds.

-    Our goal is to extend the season at the Center. We are working on a restaurant that will have a closed garden, which we did not have before. Work is also underway to prepare an indoor children's playground that will have about 450 square meters of usable space. I believe this will be a pleasant surprise for our users, said Čano.

The playgrounds and green areas are being tidied up. Positive energy and a good atmosphere can be felt at every step. Employees appreciate the management's commitment not to reduce the number of workers despite the crisis. No one minds doing anything, so you will see a waiter driving a children's train through the Center. Everyone is ready to grab tools to be ready for the period of lifting restrictions and the return to normal life.

Concurrently, Lokom has not neglected its other activities, and the agricultural sector is particularly dynamic, with the first organic crops already ready and heading to the market.
