Novalić with Džindić and Andelija: Miners' salaries must not be reduced by even one mark

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fadil Novalić and Federal Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Nermin Džindić met today at the headquarters of JP Elektroprivreda BiH in Sarajevo with the General Director of JP Elektroprivreda BiH Admir Andelija.

The meeting discussed the current issue of miners' demands. On this occasion, the federal prime minister and the line minister requested from the general director that in resolving the miners' demands, the salaries of production workers in the mines must not be reduced by even one KM under any circumstances, it was announced from the prime minister's office.

Workers of seven mines in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina operating within the Elektroprivreda BiH concern, among other things, demand the annulment of disputed bylaws, the dismissal of the general director of Elektroprivreda and the director of the coal mine within this public company, and the establishment of a minimum wage of 1,000 KM in mining in FBiH.

They have been protesting in front of the building of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina since yesterday.

Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fadil Novalić sent a request to the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament Mirsad Zaimović to convene an extraordinary session of this house to discuss the miners' demands. At the same time, the federal Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Nermin Džindić and the director of JP Elektroprivreda BiH Admir Andelija were asked to urgently submit to the Government information related to the situation in the mines and the miners' demands, which the Government of FBiH will forward to the FBiH Parliament.
