Novalić discussed with the Chinese who will build Block 7 of Tuzla Thermal Power Plant

Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić received a delegation of the Chinese company China Gezhouba Group co. headed by Vice President Lv Ze Xiang at the seat of the FBiH Government in Sarajevo today, reports the Patria News Agency.

Last year, the CGGC-GEDI consortium was selected as the most favorable bidder in the tender procedure for the project of constructing Block 7 of the Tuzla Thermal Power Plant with a capacity of 450 megawatts.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Federal Minister of Finance Jelka Milićević, Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Reuf Bajrović, General Director of Elektroprivreda BiH Elvedin Grabovica, and Executive Director for Capital Investments at EPBiH Amil Kamenica.

The aim of the Chinese delegation's visit is to concretize further steps in the implementation of this project, which includes clearer specification of the terms of the credit arrangement with the Chinese state Exim Bank, and ensuring the support of domestic authorities for its realization.

It was concluded that contacts between the two sides should continue and the preparation of the entire project for the realization of this significant investment in the energy sector of BiH should be accelerated, it was announced from the FBiH Government.
