Novalić supports the abolition of excise duties on oil, calls on the Council of Ministers of BiH to act

(Patria) - The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, stated that the Federal Government supports the abolition of excise duties on fuel, but that this is not an issue that can be finally resolved by the Government, but exclusively by the Council of Ministers of BiH.

"The Government of the FBiH, a month ago, sent a conclusion to initiate an activity at the level of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the abolition of excise duties or road tolls (from Article 17 of the Excise Law) and we are absolutely on that side, the only thing is that this is not something that the Federation can resolve, according to the Law," said the Prime Minister.

Today, a protest drive is being held in Sarajevo with about 400 participants due to the increase in fuel prices, because for the same price of a barrel on the world market, fuel prices were lower in BiH previously. The question is justified whether someone is profiting from the citizens of BiH and why the state allows it.
