Novalić and Lasić visited the newly built highway section and Ivan tunnel

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Federal Prime Minister Fadil Novalić and Minister of Transport and Communications Denis Lasić, after the session of the Government of the Federation of BiH, where the decision was made that in the next month the use of the highway section from Vlakovo to Bradina will be enabled free of charge, visited this section to provide citizens with the latest information firsthand.

The Ivan tunnel is a new modern twin-tube tunnel with two lanes each, passing through the Ivan Sedlo mountain pass.

- Construction works on this part of the highway are completely finished - revealed Prime Minister Novalić and Minister Lasić.

The toll-free driving will last until the works on the M-17 main road are completed, which are necessary to return the road to its original state before the winter period, after the construction of the subsection of the Corridor Vc highway Tarčin - Ivan.

During the drive through the newly built tunnel, the minister informed the prime minister about the current works and future ambitious plans for the construction of road infrastructure in the Federation, it was announced on the Facebook page of the Government of the Federation of BiH.

- We have covered the entire Corridor Vc, and every section is financially contracted - emphasized Lasić in a conversation with the prime minister.

The fact that in 2015, when the current Government of FBiH took office, there were no highway construction projects speaks to the scale of infrastructural progress and success.

- Upon completion of the construction of the Prenj tunnel and other smaller sections that will be built, we will meet our set deadlines and in 2028 have the complete corridor from Svilaj in the north to Bijača in the south - said Lasić.

The prime minister recalled that highway construction significantly impacts GDP growth.

- We are witnessing that labor, asphalt, concrete, steel, and fences are all the work of our hands here. This directly increases GDP, on which the pension system and all budget allocations depend. That is why every government is very pleased to have such investments - said Novalić.

The Federal Prime Minister and Minister expressed special gratitude to the approximately 800 workers who worked daily on this magnificent structure, Fena reports.
