Novalić and Germain: Continue the path towards the EU and NATO

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić and Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of the United States of America to Bosnia and Herzegovina Ellen Germain assessed the agreement reached yesterday on the establishment of the new Council of Ministers of BiH as motivating.

That agreement, as stated during today's meeting at the headquarters of the Federal Government in Sarajevo, among other things, enables the implementation of the will of the citizens expressed through the election results.

"We need a state government that will continue contacts and relations with the EU and NATO. It is important to move forward towards NATO, even if slowly, because that path means security for us and brings us closer to world standards," said Novalić.

Regarding the socio-economic determinants of the reached agreement, it is expected that the platform for the implementation of this task will be adopted at an upcoming joint session of the governments of the Federation of BiH and Republika Srpska.

The talks today were attended by the Secretary of the Government of the FBiH Edita Kalajdžić and Courtney Kline from the Political Department of the US Embassy.
