Money from "I Am an Animal" tickets to be donated to families in need

The play "I Am an Animal", directed by Mirela Trepanić based on a contemporary Russian text, will be performed on May 22 at the Youth Center in Sarajevo starting at 7:30 PM, and with the money from the tickets, which do not have a fixed price, the organizers will buy food to be sent to flood-affected areas in BiH, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

The drama, in a somewhat tragicomic way, speaks about juvenile delinquency, about growing up in a society full of hatred, danger, and aggression, and it reveals another important element in the community we live in, which is disturbed family relationships and, due to the race for everyday life, an increasing lack of love between parents and children.

Adis Omerović, one of the actors in this play, tells NAP that despite all the difficult circumstances people live in today, which also applies to BiH society, Bosnians and Herzegovinians still manage to somehow break free from the darkness of today's society and show their noble souls, as they proved in the past few days when about 40 municipalities in BiH were flooded and cut off from other cities.

- It is wonderful to see and hear that people from all parts of BiH have organized and are helping those in need. National and other barriers suddenly disappeared - said Omerović.

- I am personally happy and fulfilled to be able to help, even symbolically, those who need help - he says, adding that any of us could have been a victim, and therefore everyone who has the opportunity should now offer help.

Besides Omerović, the play features Indira Đeldum, Jasmina Mahmutagić, and Mirza Mrgan. The patrons of the play are the International Center for Children and Youth Novo Sarajevo, the Association Musicians without Borders BiH, and the furniture factory Jadrina, reports NAP.
