A new Republika Srpska is sprouting in eastern Ukraine, warns the reputable Financial Times today, reports the BH news agency Patria. In Toni Barber's text, this newspaper compares events from the beginning of the aggression against BiH with events in Ukraine, claiming there are many similarities. Especially in the behaviour of Russia and Russians with the behaviour of Serbia and Serbs in BiH.
The Financial Times reminds that the war leaders of Serbs in BiH, Radovan Karadžić and Ratko Mladić, are currently in The Hague where they are being tried for war crimes, and states that the leader of the movement for "Donetsk People's Republic" in eastern Ukraine is led by a former croupier and mafia member.
The author of the text compares the statements of Russian President Vladimir Putin with the words of Slobodan Milošević from the nineties of the last century.
- Putin does not explicitly speak of a Greater Russia, although a few days ago he implied that southeastern Ukraine is New Russia. Anyone who thinks that the mini-state of Donetsk will leave no trace in history should look at Republika Srpska. It failed to join Serbia in the '90s, but it survived as one of the two parts of Bosnia, just as its dream of secession has survived – states the Financial Times, reports NAP.
