
Air Canada flight 624 crashed while landing at Halifax International Airport in Canada. According to initial information, the plane carrying 132 passengers and five crew members hit a power line and suffered significant damage.
The airport spokesperson reported that some passengers sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital. Air Canada stated on its Twitter profile that there were 22 of them and that the injuries were minor.
The accident occurred at a time when the airport experienced a power outage. Air Canada confirmed that the plane veered off the runway after landing and that all passengers were evacuated from it.
Halifax Airport is closed to air traffic and will remain closed until at least 9 AM on Sunday, local Canadian time.
