Norway donates to the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies

Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to BiH, Vibeke Lilloe, visited today the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, and on this occasion handed over a donation of IT equipment worth 50,000 BAM, reports the Patria news agency. 

Director of the Directorate Mirsad Vilić thanked for the donated equipment and pointed out that the donated equipment will greatly accelerate the exchange of information taking place in the Sector for International Operational Police Cooperation. In this context, he emphasized that the Sector for International Operational Police Cooperation exchanges up to 10,000 pieces of information monthly, and that the use of modern IT equipment is essential for their work. He also presented the competencies of the Directorate and the activities that have been carried out in the previous period aimed at technical equipping and training of officers.

Ambassador Lilloe emphasized the commitment of the Kingdom of Norway to help Bosnia and Herzegovina in its development and fulfillment of conditions for joining the European Union. She particularly highlighted the areas in which the Kingdom of Norway actively assists Bosnia and Herzegovina, namely the judiciary, security and defense areas, strengthening civil society, as well as the area of economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After the meeting, Ambassador Lilloe visited the official premises of the Sector for International Operational Police Cooperation and expressed hope and confidence that the donated equipment will help the Directorate in more efficiently performing tasks and duties within its competence, the DKPT announced.
