NO asks the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office for information on whether Commissioner Selimović committed a criminal offense

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – The President of the Independent Board for the Selection and Revision of the Police Commissioner of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, Miroslav Kružik, today sent a letter to the Chief Cantonal Prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, Sabina Sarajlija, following last night's emergency session at which the information from the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office regarding the actions of Police Commissioner Nusret Selimović in the case of the murder of two police officers, Adis Šehović and Davor Vujinović, was discussed.

“Given the seriousness of the allegations presented in the information and attachments, we ask you to inform us whether the described actions, which relate to the Police Commissioner of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior Police Administration and the named police officers, contain elements of a criminal offense and whether this prosecutor's office is taking any actions against them,” Kružik stated in the letter.

Given that the Independent Board did not adopt any conclusions yesterday, bearing in mind that the investigation is still ongoing, additional information has been requested from the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office so that the Independent Board can take further measures and actions within its jurisdiction.

We remind you that the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office stated in its information that Commissioner Selimović ignored the request of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office to submit the requested data and addresses of persons linked to the murder of the police officers, and the police team that cooperated with the prosecutors was also disbanded.
