NLB Bank in Sarajevo: Man attacked policeman with scissors, policeman fired

(Patria) - A shooting occurred at an NLB bank branch at the beginning of Sarajevo's Džidžikovac street, and there are injured individuals.

Namely, according to Patria's information, a person walked into the bank carrying scissors and waving them. Since the bank's security guard could not calm the man down, the police were called. When the police patrol arrived to intervene, the man did not obey the policeman's warning to put down the scissors. 

The person attacked the policeman, after which the policeman used a firearm and wounded the attacker.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton confirmed to Patria that it was not a robbery and that a firearm was used, but they did not wish to reveal further details.

An investigation is underway, and the injured man was taken away by an ambulance.
