A 52-year-old German tourist succumbed to his injuries after being attacked by a shark in the Red Sea in Egypt on Saturday, reports the BH news agency Patria.
The unfortunate man was transferred to a local hospital, and the shark tore off his leg. The German Embassy in Cairo stated that they had been notified that their citizen had died, but did not specify the cause of death.
A similar attack occurred, as AP writes, in 2010 when a shark killed a 70-year-old German tourist. While near this location in 2009, a shark killed a woman from France, leading to the beach being closed for seven days.
