German businessmen donated 20,000 KM

At the tournament of the German Economy Representation in BiH, held in Vogošća under the motto "Show humanity through socializing and sports", in-kind donations worth 20,000 KM were collected. A total of 27 teams, including member companies of the German Chamber of Commerce and other German and local companies and organizations, gathered at the fields of the SPORTA sports and recreation center to show their football skills and contribute to the joint action of collecting aid for the victims of the catastrophic floods that recently hit BiH, reports the Patria News Agency.

According to Alexander Mardian, head of the bureau of the German Economy Representation in BiH, the response to this action was great.

"We are proud of our members and all other participants and visitors of the tournament who donated food, water, medicine, hygiene products, boots, shovels, mattresses, and many other necessities, and we know that many of them organized or participated in other humanitarian actions themselves," said Mardian.

The winners of this year's tournament, the Stanic Group Industry team, the second-placed Mann+Hummel, and last year's tournament winner Emka Bosnia, which took third place this time, renounced the entire cash fund of the tournament, sponsored by Tvornica cementa Kakanj, Prevent BH, and Hager, and donated it for the purchase of food and hygiene products for the endangered population in the crisis areas.

All collected funds intended for flood victims in BiH will be delivered by representatives of the German Chamber of Commerce in BiH, in cooperation with the German humanitarian organization Help – Hilfe für Selbsthilfe e.V. and the association Humanost – societas humanitatis, to the endangered population in Maglaj, Žepče, Zavidovići, Modriča, Doboj, and Šamac.
