(Patria) - Germany will stop importing oil from Russia by the end of the year, said German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock after a meeting with her Baltic counterparts, Reuters reports.

“Therefore, I say here clearly and unequivocally that Germany is completely abolishing imports of Russian energy,” said Baerbock.

“By summer, we will halve oil and be at 0 by the end of the year, and then gas will follow, in a unified plan of the European Union, because our common exit, the complete exit of the European Union, is our common strength,” she said.
