The Centar Sarajevo Municipal Council met electronically for the first time on Friday, April 3, 2020. On the agenda of this session, due to the natural and other disaster caused by
the coronavirus, among other things, were proposals for decisions on reducing/exempting fees for renting municipal construction land at the Sirano market location, a decision on exempting/reducing the obligation to pay rent to tenants of business premises of the Centar Municipality, and information on exempting rent for public areas in the Centar Municipality.
Namely, the adoption of these decisions was necessary in order to implement the first set of measures to help entrepreneurs and preserve jobs, given the declared coronavirus pandemic and the bans on certain activities.
The councilors did not support the agenda, which led to the interruption of the session, and the municipal mayor Nedžad Ajnadžić expressed regret, considering that due to the interruption of the session, the Municipality will not be able to immediately, or without delay, implement the first set of measures to help entrepreneurs.
