Nikšić's government increased the base for calculating salaries in FBiH authorities to 480 KM: Prime Minister's salary will be higher by 550 KM

(Patria) - At a press conference held on January 8, Federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić announced the base for calculating salaries in the authorities of the Federation of BiH, and for 2025 it will amount to 480 KM.

The FBiH budget with this increased base should be presented to parliamentarians as early as next week.

The base for salary calculation for 2024 was 425 KM, which means there has been an increase of 55 KM.

According to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in the Authorities of the Federation of BiH, it is clearly stipulated how salaries are calculated for elected officials, holders of executive functions, advisors, state administration bodies, employees, janitors, court police, and prison guards.

The base salary is multiplied by the determined point and the corresponding coefficient.

The highest coefficient belongs to the Prime Minister of FBiH, and with this increase, Nermin Nikšić will receive an increase of 550 KM in his base salary. In addition, transportation allowance and a warm meal, which amounts to 1 percent of the average net salary paid in FBiH, are calculated. At this moment, that is 14 KM. Furthermore, allowances for separate living, apartment rental, daily allowances, and travel expenses are calculated...

The monthly income of the Prime Minister of FBiH with this increase will exceed 5,000 KM.

Although the decision on the base for 2025 has not yet been published in the Official Gazette of FBiH, the Coordination of Trade Unions in KS stated in today's press release that the base has been increased.

The FBiH Government made a decision on the minimum wage for 2025 at the end of 2024, which amounts to 1000 KM and has entered into force.
