Nikšić: Individuals from SDP have discredited themselves by supporting SDA

(Patria) - The constitutive session of the SDP Main Board is underway in Sarajevo.

The session is electing the president of the Main Board and five vice-presidents of the Main Board, six vice-presidents of the SDP, the general secretary, and twenty-five members of the SDP Presidency.

Nermin Nikšić, the president of the SDP, stated before the session that individuals supporting the government with SDA have discredited themselves and shown where they stand.

"They cannot be part of the SDP's story, that is their choice. They decided they did not need to be part of the SDP's story and chose to cooperate with SDA. We cannot talk about a split if, out of 10 representatives, two decide to be part of the parliamentary majority with SDA," Nikšić emphasized, commenting on the situation in Tuzla.

Otherwise, Enver Bijedić previously stated that SDP members from Tuzla Canton will form a new party if the SDP bodies, led by President Nikšić, do not change the decision to expel members Žarko Vujović and Husein Tokić.

Today, Tuzla Canton got a government. The parliamentary majority of 19 votes in Tuzla is held by SDA (9), DF (3), SBB (2), Party for BiH (2), PDA (1), and two representatives who were expelled from the SDP for negotiating the formation of a government with SDA, namely Žarko Vujović, who is also the President of the Cantonal Assembly, and Husein Tokić.
