Nikšić to Field: You didn't write about Dodik, corruption in procurements, HDZ's racist election concept

(Patria) - The SDP city organization in Banja Luka came under fire from critics because, next to the names of female candidates for local elections, they listed how many children they have, while next to the names of male candidates only career achievements are highlighted. British Ambassador Matthew Field also commented on this, asking why the number of children was only placed next to female candidates.

The Ambassador's criticism was commented on by SDP President Nermin Nikšić, who asked the British Ambassador why he did not address in his social media posts the corruption scandals that have been shaking Bosnian society in recent months.

"I am a proud father of a daughter and a son, and a grandfather of one grandson for now. I hope I have not offended anyone or, God forbid, discriminated against anyone," wrote SDP President Nermin Nikšić on his Facebook profile.

"Why am I saying this? Namely, I must say that I missed the posts of the esteemed British Ambassador, H.E. Matthew Field, about the looting of respirators, testimonies of politicians about buying the mayor's position in Sarajevo, the refusal of the FBiH Government to implement the law on combating corruption and organized crime even though the British government gives them financial support every year," he wrote.

I also did not notice a post about Dodik's public mockery of the international community, corruption in the procurement of the Polish hospital, he adds, HDZ's insistence on a racist election concept, etc.

Nevertheless, I did not miss Ambassador Field's criticism that in one SDP organization, some female candidates, among other things, decided to proudly highlight that they are mothers. I thank Field for drawing our attention in the SDP to this serious social problem, which is why at the beginning of my post I tried to eliminate the discrimination that so upset the esteemed excellency, the British Ambassador," concluded Nikšić.
