Nikolić: Nobody commands me, not even Putin

Neither Russia nor anyone in the world can instruct me, nor do they, says Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić, reports the Patria News Agency.

Nikolić told Sputnik this regarding speculations that Russia is obstructing Serbia's Euro-integration through him.

"Not Russia, but nobody in the world can instruct me. I am not being instructed, nor do I discuss what Serbia should do with any representative of any country or organization in the world," Nikolić said.

Nikolić believes that in three and a half years, he has not hindered the Government's work with any of his actions and that it has his full support.

"I am not the opposition to the government; I want to achieve success with this government. If that is not possible, I would not want it to turn out that it is impossible because I am preventing the government. Secondly, I cannot prevent it at all. There is no mechanism by which the president can prevent the government from making or implementing its decisions," he emphasized, B92 reports.
