German received 217 coronavirus vaccines in 29 months

(Patria) - A 62-year-old German received as many as 217 coronavirus vaccines in a 29-month period, although doctors advised him not to, it was published in the journal "The Lancet Infectious Diseases".

Researchers from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg announced that initial indicators suggest he had no adverse consequences as a result, the BBC reports.

"We learned about his case from newspaper articles, and then we invited him to undergo tests, which he gladly accepted," said Kilian Schober from the university's Department of Microbiology.

He points out that they used blood, urine, and saliva samples to determine exactly how the immune system reacts to vaccination.

Dr. Schober says he was concerned that overstimulation of the immune system with repeated doses could fatigue certain cells, but they found no evidence of that in the sixty-two-year-old.

Furthermore, there were no signs that he had ever been infected with the coronavirus.
