SARAJEVO, (Patria) - A Brazilian lawyer who entered a hospital MRI room with a gun died after an accident in which he was shot in the stomach.
Leandro Matias de Novais took his mother for an examination on January 16. The 40-year-old did not tell hospital staff that he had a gun with him, even though he was told to remove all metal objects before entering the room.
The gun discharged after it entered the magnetic field of the device, and the bullet hit the man in the stomach.
The lawyer died on February 6 at Sao Luiz Morumbi Hospital.
