Independent Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Urges Urgent Recruitment of 200 Police Officers for the Border Police

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Independent Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH) supported at its 48th session the Report on the Work of the Border Police of BiH for 2017 and the Work Program of the Border Police of BiH for 2018.

After the Director of the Border Police of BiH, Zoran Galić, and his Deputy, Fahrudin Halač, detailed the key issues and problems they face, especially in light of the migrant crisis, the Independent Board of the PSBiH adopted a conclusion requesting the urgent approval of the recruitment of at least 200 police officers for the Border Police of BiH, which currently lacks more than 500 officers.

A conclusion was also adopted initiating the consideration and adoption of the proposed Rulebook on Internal Organization and Job Classification in the Border Police of BiH.
