Independent Board supports Police Directorate and injured police officers

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Independent Board for the Election and Review of the Police Commissioner of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly fully supports the work of the Police Directorate and police officers who were injured this morning while performing their official duties, in which two police officers sustained minor bodily injuries, and one serious.

"This is just another proof of how dangerous the police job is, which is why it is one of the most honorable professions and thus one of the most honorable professions in every society," the Independent Board stated.

We remind you that in this morning's pursuit by members of the MUP KS of a vehicle that refused to stop at a police order, three police officers were injured, one of them seriously. The person driving the vehicle, while fleeing from the police, was taken into custody, and the police are determining all circumstances of the event and the identity of the attackers on the police. 

The pursuit lasted from Ilidža to Hadžići, where the fugitive crashed into a police car, after which the Audi A4 car he was driving ended up in a ditch by the road.
