Neum still needs a helicopter for firefighting

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The situation at the fire sites in the municipality of Neum remains unchanged compared to yesterday.

In the fire on Mount Žaba, grass and low vegetation are burning. Firefighters from Neum are on the ground, and the situation is worsened by wind and inaccessible terrain. Assistance is needed for aerial firefighting using a helicopter of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federal Administration of Civil Protection announced.

The situation at the fire sites in Borci and Glavatičevo near Konjic is satisfactory. Stumps are burning and there are no indications that the fire will spread. Firefighters are on the ground, and the population and buildings are not threatened.

In other cities and municipalities of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, there are currently no active fires, according to the Federal Administration of Civil Protection.
