(Patria) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this week he would convene his security cabinet to discuss how to direct the military to achieve its war goals in Gaza.
"We must continue to fight together to achieve all our war goals - defeating the enemy, freeing our hostages, and ensuring that Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel," Netanyahu said yesterday at the start of a regular cabinet meeting, Reuters reported.
Israel's Channel 12 quoted an official from his office as saying that Netanyahu is leaning toward expanding the offensive and seizing the entire Palestinian enclave.
Israeli media reported that the cabinet would meet on Tuesday to decide on the matter.
