(Patria) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated yesterday that Israel is committed to a ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah, but warned that this does not mean the war is over.
Speaking at the beginning of a government meeting in the northern border town of Nahariya, Netanyahu warned that Hezbollah had seriously violated the agreement on Monday, and that Israel had subsequently attacked more than 20 targets across Lebanon in retaliation.
- We are currently in a ceasefire, and I note, it is a ceasefire, not the end of the war. We have a clear goal to bring back our residents and resettle the north of the country.
We are enforcing this ceasefire with an iron fist, acting against any violation of it, minor or serious - added the Israeli Prime Minister.
