(Patria) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says yesterday's airstrikes on the Gaza Strip are "just the beginning" and that all ceasefire negotiations will take place "under fire."
In a recorded statement broadcast on national television, Netanyahu stated that Israel will continue its attacks until it achieves all its war aims.
These aims, he clarified, are the destruction of Hamas and the release of all hostages held by the Palestinian group.
The Israeli army bombed the Gaza Strip in the early morning hours yesterday, killing at least 404 and wounding hundreds of others.
Israel thus violated the ceasefire agreement with the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, which came into effect on January 19.
Footage shows that most of the victims are civilians, including women and children, whose homes were bombed during the night.
Since October 2023, more than 48,500 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza, while more than 112,000 people have been wounded.
