Netanyahu vows to intensify military campaign in Gaza Strip!

(Patria) - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel will intensify the fight against Hamas in the coming days, the BBC reported. He told members of his party that he visited Gaza on Monday morning and that Israel's military campaign there "is not close to the end".

His comments come days after U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Israel should reduce the intensity of its strikes. Gaza's Health Ministry said on Monday that 20,674 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks, the majority of whom were women and children.

Netanyahu has vowed to destroy Hamas and return hostages to Israel. He told a meeting of his Likud party that the troops he met during his visit to Gaza called on Israel to continue the fight "to the end".

"We are not stopping. We continue to fight, and we are intensifying the fighting in the coming days. It will be a long war that is not close to the end," he added.

Later on Monday, relatives of hostages disrupted the prime minister, demanding the immediate release of their loved ones during an address in parliament.

"We will not be able to release all the abducted without military pressure... we will not stop fighting," he said, as families from the gallery chanted "Now! Immediately!"
