(Patria) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu late on Saturday warned Palestinians living near Hamas locations in Gaza to leave, as he vowed to turn its hideouts into "ruins".
"All the places where Hamas is located, in this city of evil, all the places where Hamas is hiding, operating – we will turn them into ruins," he said, Reuters reported.
"I am telling the people in Gaza: flee from there immediately, because we will act everywhere with all our might," he said in a brief televised statement.
Earlier, he said that "our enemy will pay a price they have never paid before." "We are at war and we will win it," he added.
At least 300 Israelis were killed and 1,600 injured in attacks by the Palestinian movement Hamas, Reuters reports, citing Al Arabiya on Saturday.
Earlier, Israeli authorities said 250 people were killed, but that fighting was ongoing in some parts of the country where groups of armed Hamas members remained.
Hamas launched its largest attack on Israel in years in a surprise assault that combined armed attackers crossing into Israel with a barrage of rockets fired from Gaza.
The BBC reported that 232 people were killed and 1,600 injured in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip.
