(Patria) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the Minister of Foreign Affairs Eli Cohen to summon the Spanish ambassador to Israel for talks following comments by the Spanish Prime Minister earlier on Thursday.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said earlier in an interview with Spanish TV that he has "serious doubts that Israel is not respecting international humanitarian law" and that "what we are seeing in Gaza is not acceptable".
Last week, Israel summoned the ambassadors of Spain and Belgium for talks following comments made during their visit to the Rafah border crossing in Egypt.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Eli Cohen said on X/Twitter that "Israel acts and will continue to act in accordance with international law, and we will continue the war until all hostages are released and Hamas is eliminated in Gaza".
