(Patria) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is ready to offer Hamas captors several million dollars for each released hostage, Israeli TV Channel 12 reported last night.
Netanyahu is also prepared to guarantee safe passage out of Gaza for the captors who release the hostages and their families, the report adds.
The Israeli prime minister gave instructions on this last night during security consultations. Netanyahu publicly discussed these efforts last month, Israeli media reported.
In the attack by Palestinian Hamas on southern Israel on October 7 last year, about 1,200 people were killed, mostly civilians, and more than 250 hostages were abducted and taken to Gaza. It is believed that around a hundred are still held captive, but it is known that a third are no longer alive.
