Unusual school on Ilidža: Learn all about beekeeping and honey production

Residents of Sarajevo who want to learn more about beekeeping and honey production can gain knowledge at a school for beekeepers, which started operating on Thursday in Ilidža, organized by the Beekeepers' Association „Behar“, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

Experienced beekeepers from the Association will, over several weeks, guide new bee enthusiasts through the secrets of the sweetest craft in the world, which includes theoretical lessons as well as practical sessions at apiaries and work with bees.

Beekeeping is a highly profitable occupation, which, unfortunately, very few people engage in in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Behar Association hopes that this school will contribute to more people in BiH starting to engage in beekeeping, which for many could also be a new job.

The Beekeepers' Association Behar has been organizing the school for beekeepers for the past several years, and so far they have trained a large number of beekeepers, among whom there are several very successful producers of honey and other bee products.
