More than 700 pilgrims have been killed, and over 800 injured in a stampede in Mina, near Mecca, making it one of the worst tragedies to occur at this most important Muslim pilgrimage.
According to a health ministry official, the tragedy occurred during the ritual of stoning the devil (Arafat). A collision between the crowd of pilgrims leaving and those coming from the opposite direction caused the drama.
As reported by officials from the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnian pilgrims are safe and no one has been injured.
