Accident in Bratunac: Vehicle pulled from the Jadar River

A fatal traffic accident occurred on the main road Milići–Konjević Polje in the village of Pobuđe on 18.01.2016 at 05:20, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The accident happened when a truck, a „Mercedes“ owned by a legal entity from Banja Luka, veered off the road into the Jadar River. The driver, identified as O.M. (born 1972) from Milići, was killed.

The relevant prosecutor's office in Bijeljina was informed of the incident, and the duty prosecutor authorized police officers from the Bratunac Police Station to conduct an on-site investigation.

Since 14:00 today, 18.01.2016, traffic on the main road has been restored using one lane, with vehicles passing alternately.

The extraction of the vehicle from the river began in the afternoon.
