(Patria) - Two Delta Air Lines workers were killed and one injured in an accident at the maintenance facility of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
"This news has been hard on all of us," the airline said.
The company added that the incident occurred in the wheel and brake maintenance department, but did not provide details.
Citing sources, Atlanta television station WSB-TV reported that a worker and an external Delta contractor were killed when a tire on the plane exploded while they were removing it.
The plane arrived in Atlanta from Las Vegas on Sunday, the TV station added.
