(Patria) - Today at 13:50 a serious traffic accident occurred on the highway in Kadarići near Ilijaš, resulting in one fatality.
The driver lost control of the vehicle and broke through the protective barrier. There were two people in the vehicle.
Members of the Professional Fire Brigade arrived at the scene and participated in extricating the injured.
Doctors confirmed the death of a female person at 14:50, while the driver, aged 62 from Turbe, sustained injuries of an unknown degree and was transported to the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo.
The investigation is being led by the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, and traffic has been halted in the right lane.
"An investigation is underway into a traffic accident (a passenger car veering off the road) on the A-1 section Sarajevo North - Podlugovi. For now, traffic at the accident site is moving slowly, using one lane," BIHAMK reports.
