NES: Unlike candidates supported by SDP and the Trojka, Kljako is not accused or convicted, is not Islamophobic, and is not linked to Dodik or crime

(Patria) - The People's European Alliance of BiH rejects with disgust the accusations against Anel Kljako, NES's candidate for Minister of Trade, made by individuals from parties that are now political has-beens, as well as their
closely associated "media". They also call the objections to Kljako's appointment from the SDP and the so-called Trojka parties hypocritical.

"There is no legal obstacle for Anel Kljako to hold the position of Minister of Trade. Anel Kljako has never been prosecuted for misdemeanors or criminal offenses, no indictment has ever been filed against him, nor has he been convicted of any crime. The judicial authorities have clearly ruled in Anel Kljako's case by rejecting all accusations, which is why there is no reason why he should not be NES's candidate for Minister of Trade of the Federation of BiH.

On the other hand, the motives of the SDP and the so-called Trojka to oppose Anel Kljako's appointment as Minister of Trade are unclear. It is hypocritical that they are bothered by Anel Kljako, but not by Sanja Vlaisavljević with her anti-Bosniak, anti-Sarajevo, and Islamophobic statements, which go so far as to praise the sending of Bosniak camp inmates from 'Heliodrom' to forced labor.

It is indicative that they are bothered by Kljako, but they propose Vojin Mijatović, a long-time close associate of Milorad Dodik, as the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Federation of BiH. If they are guided by media insinuations, why did they then support
the appointment of Nenad Nešić as Minister of Security of BiH, a person whom the media has linked to the criminal milieu for years. Out of fear of the reaction of Milorad Dodik and Dragan Čović?

Anel Kljako is a doctoral student in economics. He is the son of a camp survivor, a disabled war veteran, and a member of the Army of the Republic of BiH. He held the position of representative in the HNK Assembly for two terms based on the trust of the citizens, and was a city councilor in the City of Mostar for one term. He served as an advisor to the Minister of Security of BiH, and as an advisor to the Minister of Economy of HNK.

Due to all of the above, NESBiH gives its full support to Anel Kljako's candidacy for the federal Minister of Trade, and we will make a statement on the current situation regarding the formation of government in the Federation of BiH, in consultation with our partner - the Party of BiH, in the coming days," the NES statement reads.
