Unnecessary Politicisation: The Prosecutor's Office of BiH is Investigating the Attack on Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued a press release stating several facts for the accurate and objective information of the public, and due to unnecessary politicisation of the case in the media, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

In the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, there are two cases related to the attack on Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić.

- The acting prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, after analysing the collected and submitted evidence, issued an order to suspend the investigation against two persons, due to lack of evidence that they committed a criminal offence.

In the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, there is an active second case related to the attack on the Prime Minister of Serbia, on which intensive work is being done.

- Within the framework of the aforementioned activities, a large number of witnesses have been examined, a large amount of evidentiary material has been reviewed, and available video recordings have been examined, from which no evidence can be found that the persons against whom the investigation was suspended committed a criminal offence.

- Also, the public should be aware of the fact that due to lack of evidence, the entity judiciary in the Republika Srpska did not prosecute the suspects for attempted aggravated murder, incitement, endangering security and other criminal offences for which they conducted an investigation, and for which they are exclusively competent, after which the case documentation was submitted to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH on 06.06.2016.
